Lately we’ve been a bit useless at offering audio nuggets, especially mixes. Our last downloadable mix outing was an action-packed, 25-minute ‘minimix’ for the lads over at Pardon My French. We’ve been stupidly busy since then, barely finding time to record our radio show, let alone other mixes.
With Five-Stylez otherwise occupied over the weekend, I decided to lay down a solo mix featuring a selection of current faves, slept-on classics, forgotten gems and sneaky re-edits. It’s a decidedly horizontal/slow dancing kind of affair, hence the ‘Slo-Mo Bedmo’ title. It’s an hour-long, flits between deep house, Balearica, nu-disco, dub disco and boogie, with a few surprises thrown in. Our next Bedmo Disco DJ outing will be on October 22nd, when we guest at UFO @ Dojo. We’ll be welcoming ALPHABET CITY (AKA Black Lodge) to Bristol for the very first time, while our old mate CHRISTOPHE (whose ‘Make A Mark’ single on Redux has been getting props aplenty) is also on the line-up. It should be a great party!
