This Thursday, we fly out to join in the fun at Soundwave Croatia 2016, which takes place at The Garden, Tisno, from August 4-8. We’ve lost count of the number of times we’ve played at the festival (we think it’s either our sixth or seventh appearance), but every year it’s the undoubted highlight of our summer. Great music, great people, great weather, great location… what more do you need?
Over the last few years, our own Sell By Dave has made a point of putting together a warm-up mix or two (0ne year, he did three) to help get people in the mood for what’s in store. Predictably, he’s done one again this year. We best let him explain what it’s all about:
“I wanted to do something that reflected the quintessential Soundwave experience – watching the sun go down accompanied by some suitable music, followed by an evening spent on the beach stage, the on to Barbarella’s for a session dancing all night until the sun comes up. So, I tried to capture that over two hours, going from sun-kissed slo-mo fare to classic U.S and U.K house, via samba, hip-hop, reggae, disco, and electrofunk. Hopefully you’ll find it entertaining.”
